The Inclusive Business Forum of Zimbabwe was pleased to host Mr Sachin Joshi in Harare in April. Mr Joshi presented a one day Workshop for over 60 senior executives on "Innovative, Sustainable and Inclusive Business Models"
Mr Joshi is Director of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development. His workshop uses a sustainable and inclusive innovation (known as Si2) value creation approach to business modelling.
The Workshop provided participants with experienced and practical ideas on, inter alia, the identification and implementation of Inclusive Business projects, the creation of new markets, and the techniques to add societal value by doing business differently. The principal concept of Inclusive Business is the proven mutual benefits derived from corporate businesses initiating linkages in any part of their value chains with small scale operators or community based organisations. Mr Joshi's presentation was full of novel and stimulating thinking and there were many appreciative comments afterwards from the participants, who represented a cross-section of private, public and civil society sectors.
The Confederation of Indian Industry is headquartered in Delhi and is India’s premier business organisation with a huge direct and indirect membership, 63 offices in India and 7 overseas offices.
The Workshop was held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Royal Harare Golf Club.
